With the NCAA no longer banning athlete compensation, advocates are pushing to speed up the implementation of a new California law that allows college athletes to sign paid endorsement deals.

The decision could also prompt states and Congress to act on bills that would enable athletes to make money from their names and images, personal appearances, social media engagement, and produce endorsements.
