Recent rains mean healthy snow pack, officials say

There's water in them thar hills! A snowpack of 113" and at 153 percent of average to-date, means big run off when the snows melt this spring.

The compromise deal includes smaller class sizes, a commitment to cap charter school expansion, and a total pay increase of 14%.

Decision comes in the wake of public opposition to a proposal to place an armed student resource officer on campuses.

The school board also directed administrators to apply for new state grant money to help enhance extended-day kindergarten facilities.
