At the Feb 26 meeting, Board members heard good news about a new grant from Alameda County to combat tobacco use and vaping and learned more about how the district is educating parents and students about tech use.
Although there are currently no confirmed cases of the virus on campus or in Alameda County, the District is taking precautions and preparing for the possibility.
The event marked the end of a week's worth of activities designed to raise awareness of the need for more state funding of public education in California.
