All good things must come to an end, and a soggy morning was the backdrop for the buzz of activity when the lights came down on Tuesday in Piedmont Park, officially ending the holiday season in Piedmont. A big thanks to the commitment of the Public Works and Recreation Departments and all employees of the city that made it possible, and Piedmont Beautification Foundation volunteers for their contributions. And a big thanks to Dana Low and Kristen Malan and other members of the Piedmont Garden Club for helping get the lights on and off the tree.
The lights came on in a celebration December 6 — Piedmont Lights Up! were Piedmont really showed up, from the youngsters lined up in front of the tree to the young at heart who have been coming to this event for more than 60 years.
Mark your calendar for next year — the first Wednesday in December!
