Residents in both upper and lower Piedmont have inquired about recent road work (or the lack thereof):

–The small sinkhole that opened up on Hampton Road at Crest Road several months ago during heavy rains has been temporarily filled in and traffic cones were placed over the site for a time before they were moved to a sidewalk. While the roadway has been marked up, the city said on Tuesday that this is a PG&E repair and the company has not provided any information about when it plans to start work on the site.

–A reader inquired about intermittent construction taking place at the busy intersection of Grand Avenue and Oakland Avenues. The city says this work is being conducted by a cable company and is expected to wrap up this week.
