JazzArts fest features Kev Choice and Marcus Shelby and others in “The Evolution of Jazz to Hip-Hop" on Saturday at San Antonio Park in Oakland.

New work by authors Daniel Handler, R.O. Kwon; Tom Steyer, Carvell Wallace; and a new perspective on the life of John Muir.

Through June 2 at The Marsh in San Francisco.

Features by iconic animated storyteller Hayao Miyazaki and by filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, who will appear in person, are among the highlights.
