BART announced it will provide four early morning trains with limited stops on Sunday before the Bay to Breakers race kicks off in downtown San Francisco.

The four special trains will pick up early morning passengers across the Bay Area and will have limited stops before arriving at the Embarcadero station. Regular BART service will begin at 8 a.m., after the start of the race.

The special early morning trains will pick up passengers bound for the Embarcadero station from the following stations — 16th St. Mission, Bay Fair, Daly City, El Cerrito del Norte, Dublin/Pleasanton, MacArthur, Millbrae, Pleasant Hill, and West Oakland.

Passengers are encouraged to use the BART app’s trip planner to find their closest station and train departure time. Stations will open “shortly before the train arrives,” said the agency.

Parking is free on Sundays at BART stations, and the agency encourages participants to use their facilities to avoid expected delays in the downtown area.
