City council changes Oakland Coliseum sale timeline to match Alameda County’s process

The African American Sports Group has penned agreements with the A’s and Oakland to acquire both shares at $125 million apiece.

The Rose Foundation will form an advisory board to oversee a grant-making program to award roughly $500,000 annually.

Kevin Jenkins said he realizes Oaklanders want to feel safer and are alarmed at cuts to public safety budgets.

The study also includes data analysis of the nine-county Bay Area and examines the role of historically racist policies.

Lee said the help of these dynamic leaders and residents will deliver the transparency, accountability, and results that Oakland deserves.
