Join the fun: Sign up to participate in the 56th annual Piedmont Independence Day parade

Community members, neighborhoods, and local organizations are encouraged to sign up to make a float or march in the annual July Fourth parade. This year’s theme is “Paint the Town Red, White, and Blue.” Longtime Schoolmates supervisor David Hopkins will be the parade’s Grand Marshal.

The parade will take place on Highland Avenue starting at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4.

Awards are given to the top entries. You could have bragging rights and a trophy — the coveted Highland Cup, Saucer, or Spoon — to display in your home for a year.
