Piedmont Recreation Commission seeks input about older adult programming

The Piedmont Recreation Commission would like to hear from residents about older adult recreational programming in Piedmont. The Commission established a subcommittee, and is now inviting Piedmonters to share their thoughts during the Jan. 18 Piedmont Recreation Commission Meeting.

“We look forward to hearing how older Piedmont adults feel about the recreational activities that are available to them, and if they want more from the Recreation Department,” said sub-committee Chair Lisa Gardner. “Your input will assist us in learning more about what recreation is important for our older adult population. Please consider participating”.

Piedmonters are invited to attend, in person or by Zoom, Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m. The Jan. 18 agenda and Zoom instructions will be available on the Recreation Commission website HERE before the meeting.

If you are unable to attend, please send your comments to Chelle Putzer, Recreation Director: cputzer@piedmont.ca.gov  or (510) 420-3070.

Additionally, a community-wide survey regarding older adult recreation will be available in late January 2023, and there will be in-person meet-ups for people to further share their thoughts about programming for older adults.

  1. We should all be giving a giant shout-out to Dick Carter for all he’s doing to get Seniors out of their 🏡
and keeping them socially active. Dick has done a great job of getting seniors out and about, from WOW, to book club, to movies etc.

Thank you, Dick, your efforts are appreciated.
    Best,
