UPDATE: With a deadline of Aug. 12, more candidates pull papers for Nov. election

This post was updated with new school board information on Tuesday, Aug. 9:

Lindsay Thomasson is the latest resident to pull papers for the Board of Education. She joins Ruchi Medhekar and Avnish Patel to run for one of the two open seats on the Board of Education. Candidates have until Aug. 12 to do so. (Patel has also pulled papers for the City Council race.)

Bridget Harris and Avnish Patel and now Jeanne Solnordal have joined Tom Ramsey, Jennifer Long, Betsy Smegal Andersen, and N. Sunny Bostrom-Fleming in obtaining papers to run for City Council in the 2022 General Municipal Election.

The nomination period for candidates for Board of Education and City Council runs from July 18, 2022 through Aug. 12, 2022. The City publishes the Guide to Nomination and Candidacy, which provides details about the nomination and candidacy process which prospective candidates should find useful.

Residents wishing to become write-in candidates can obtain nomination paperwork from the City Clerk’s Office between Sept. 12, 2022 and Oct. 25, 2022.
