If you haven’t yet heard, the inaugural Piedmont Food Fest is coming to town Sunday, April 24 from 11-4pm and there will be something for everyone at this food, drink, and musical showcase! The Food Fest team is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make this community event a success — please visit www.piedmontfoodfest.org/volunteer and join the team!
Indeed, Piedmont Food Fest has taken our whole village to come to life. In partnership with the city, our schools, local businesses, community partners, and their fiscal sponsor Social Good, Piedmont Food Fest will welcome visitors and showcase a family-friendly event that includes food, the stories of the people behind the food, multicultural stage performances, locally-sourced beer and wine, a kid activity zone, and more. If all goes well, this event may even turn into another annual tradition our community can look forward to year after year.
A central mission of Piedmont Food Fest is to showcase the many diverse offerings of our broader Bay Area community that help enrich the experiences of our community and our neighbors. The event will feature food from Curry Up Now, Ceviche & Co, Swahili Spot, Kiss My Boba, Piedmont’s own Robert Dorsey Catering, and others. There will also be live music from the mariachi duo Son Nuestro, the Great Wall Youth Orchestra, a Black Music Incubator Showcase, and the Oakland Samba Revue.
Piedmont Food Fest is open to the public and we encourage attendance from the broader Bay Area. To register or volunteer, please visit www.piedmontfoodfest.org. While you’re there, be sure to check out the premium wine and beer tasting package, which includes a limited edition tumbler — while supplies last!
