Tracking COVID in Piedmont | Sept. 17

Cases in Piedmont ticked up by two since Tuesday, from 248 to 250 on Friday.

More than 89 percent of eligible Piedmont residents are now fully vaccinated:

Piedmont’s City Council is working on a “framework” for a vaccine mandate and PUSD’s Board of Education is expected to approve a vaccine mandate for eligible students at its Sept. 22 meeting. (Teachers and staff are already required to be vaccinated or undergo weekly testing.) PUSD says that nine people took advantage of the Sept. 1 free vaccine clinic, which was open to anyone with an affiliation with the city or school district.
