Must-see TV! Annual tree lighting ceremony hosted by Beautification Foundation on KCOM

Every year the Piedmont Beautification Foundation and the City of Piedmont kick off the Holiday Season with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. This year, to accommodate restrictions on large group gatherings, station KCOM has graciously made it available for home viewing on Wednesday December 2 at 7:00 pm. For those households that do not have KCOM on their cable network, the program can be see online via the City of Piedmont website: (piedmont.ca.gov/servicesdepartments/kcom-tv).

The festive atmosphere will still include a warm welcome from Mayor Bob McBain in his final mayoral tree lighting, and a visit from Santa, who will tell children how to drop off letters to him at City Hall. The Troubadours will sing holiday songs and help the community usher in the season. A special guest from the Make-A-Wish Foundation will do the honors of lighting the community tree. Set your calendars to tune in on the evening of December 2nd.

Volunteers from the Piedmont Garden Club do the impressive work of installing the lights on the landmark pine in the center of town.

This is the time of year to send a lasting Holiday Greeting to friends, family, and neighbors by contributing to Piedmont Beautification Foundation. Please consider a donation to any of the funds: PBF General Fund, PBF Endowment Fund, Sport Facilities Maintenance Fund, or our current Guilford-Highland Handrail & Steps project.
