Glass Fire up to 61,150 acres, 8 percent containment

Cal Fire officials said early Friday evening that firefighters have managed to contain 8 percent of the Glass Fire burning in Napa, Sonoma and Lake counties.

The fire, which was first reported at about 4 a.m. Sunday, has now burned 61,150 acres. It has destroyed 173 residences in Napa County, 120 residences in Sonoma County. The fire is threatening 28,835 structures ranging from residences to commercial structures.

There is no estimation as to when firefighters will fully contain the fire at this time. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
