Will Wolfe earns Eagle Scout Honor

Piedmont High School senior and Troop 11 Boy Scout Will Wolfe became the Troop’s newest Eagle Scout on November 2, 2018. This is the highest rank for a uniformed Boy Scout. He was recognized at a National Court of Honor on Monday, November 26.

On the path to Eagle, Will earned 21 Merit Badges and held the following leadership: Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Instructor and Order of the Arrow.

For his Eagle project, Will created casting distance markers for the ponds at the Oakland Casting Club.  He designed numbered stencils, then painted distance markers around the casting pond.  The project also included clearing weeds and debris to beautify the park as well as draining and cleaning of the smaller pond. Will had seven volunteers helping him, with a grand total of 106 service hours needed to complete the project.
