The Temescal String Quartet with pianist Carl Blake will perform a chamber music concert featuring Dvorak’s Quintet for Piano and Strings in A Major, the Beethoven String Quartet No. 4 in C Minor, and Schubert’s String Quartet Movement in C Minor.
The ensemble's inaugural concert includes Arturo Rodriguez on flute, Marcus Phillips on oboe; Medina on clarinet, Cathleen Torres on horn, Kika Wright on bassoon, and guest artist Allison Lovejoy on piano. The program includes a juxtaposition of soulful Latin groove with French wit and nostalgia.
After months of renovation, the community is invited to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new CRTC! Opening ceremonies and brief remarks will be followed by a free youth clinic for ages 8-12 taught by PHS tennis players. Refreshments will be served.
Bay Area songstress Stella Heath (French Oak Gypsy Band) fronts a stellar band of local musicians for a cabaret-style musical tribute to the life and art of the legendary singer.
Kids and parents -- come learn about Cub Scouts and other scouting programs for girls and boys from 5 – 20 years old! Build air rockets, play games, and have an opportunity to tour the Piedmont Fire Department!
Please wear purple (kids too!) on Tuesday, August 27th to show your support -- and join us in front of the vase in Piedmont Park after school for a popsicle party from 3:00-4:00 pm.
