City’s COVID-19 PCR testing site expands to 5 days

Update Jan. 20: Thanks to a reader, we checked the Curative website and see that it is accepting walk-ins: This site offers on-site registration during open hours. Appointments are preferred to minimize wait times, and take precedence over walk-ins. Please bring your ID and insurance card (if applicable) to the site to receive your test. There is no out of pocket cost for the test and it is available for both insured and uninsured; insured must provide insurance information.

From a City of Piedmont press release on Jan. 18:

Curative, with whom the City of Piedmont has been partnering to provide COVID-19 testing in town, will be increasing their testing to 5 days per week. Beginning Thursday, January 20, testing will now be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will now take place in the Community Hall parking lot.

Community members can sign up for testing at https://cur.tv/piedmont.

Please note that Curative is experiencing unprecedented demand for testing.

Curative’s shallow nasal COVID-19 testing has no out-of-pocket costs to patients, the company says, and results will be available one to two days after the tests are received by their lab. For further information, contact Curative directly at 888-702-9042, or visit their website at curative.com

  1. Based on the curative website, it looks like appointments are no longer necessary. So wanted to call that out based on the information above.
