As a new team, the Red Rock Alameda 16s Boys Club Volleyball Team was seeded #40 of 40 going into the first round of the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) qualifier tournament in Roseville. In the first round, they upset the #10 seeded team, and after two more rounds ended the tournament at #22 to earn a spot in the Silver Division.
The Gold Division is comprised of the top 12 teams, the Silver Division the next 12 teams, and the Bronze and Aqua Divisions are made up of 8 teams each. At the end of each tournament, the top three teams in each division move to a higher division and the last three teams in each division move to a lower division.
Red Rock Volleyball Club, with five locations throughout the Bay Area (including indoor courts at Bladium in Alameda), offers clinics and camps for boys and girls 2nd through 12th grades. Red Rock also offers a year-round beach volleyball program (including beach courts at Alameda Beach and Moraga Commons).
