Who’s that Good Dog?

Family: Phil Lorin, Kiel Murray, and kids Eden, Bosco, and Beach

Pet: Mocha Latke Shaka (Mocha for short!)

Age: She’s 5, but still has a puppy face.

Breed: Collie / Lab retriever

Adoption story: I was working at Pixar when a kind soul brought a litter of puppies to the parking lot for folks to adopt. When I saw the tiny black and white girl with mocha-colored-cheeks in the back of the truck, it was love at first sight. I drove her straight home and surprised the family. The kids were ecstatic. (The husband was less so, but he came around 🙂 )

Likes: She loves chasing balls, snuggling, and herding us, in that order.

Dislikes: She doesn’t like baths, or getting brushed. But she’ll do it for treats.

Interesting facts: She’s pretty much a genius. It’s probably the collie half. But we love her lab half just as much. She acts like a human, but it’s possible she thinks that she’s a cat because she chases lights and reflections like one.

Anything else? She has been a total gift. We often wonder how we got such a good one.
