Permanent “one way” and “do not enter” signage has been installed at the Oakland Avenue intersection, and temporary flashing signs on both Oakland and Bonita warning drivers of the changed conditions.

The new ADA spaces are complete, although some drainage work remains to be finished on the sidewalk behind the re-graded area, the city said.

This was the final step in the Civic Center parking reconfiguration approved by the City Council in May 2025.

Previous phases of this project have included the addition of a new drop-off zone on Highland Avenue across the street from Havens Elementary in January and the addition of new time-limited parking spaces on Bonita and Magnolia in April.
