Dr. Karen Rabin and Rachel Blanchard at "April in Paris: Have a Heart for the Hospital 2026," a fundraiser for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital at the Claremont Country Club on April 11, 2026.

April in Paris: Have a Heart for the Hospital 2026 brought over 100 guests to Claremont Country Club for French music, festive food, signature cocktails, lively dancing, spirited bidding, and one extraordinary result:

$110,000 raised in support of cancer clinical trials at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.

The evening was magnifique!

Guests arrived in Parisian Chic, enjoyed authentic French music, festive food, signature cocktails, and a dance floor that did not disappoint.

We were honored to hear from Dr. Karin Rabin, pediatric hematologist/oncologist and specialist in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and from Rachel Blanchard, whose daughter Hailey, is a patient of Dr. Rabin. Both shared the real impact of clinical trials.

Rachel’s story brought the room to its feet, while Dr. Rabin reminded us that 30 years ago, before trials like these, children like Hailey may not have had access to the targeted treatment she is receiving today.

Every $2,000 raised helps one child

$2,000 helps cover one child’s participation in a cancer clinical trial, including:

• Trial coordination

• Data collection

• Participation support

These essential costs are not covered by insurance.

To our sponsors, donors, auction contributors, volunteers, speakers, guests, and everyone who helped bring April in Paris to life: thank you. We look forward to your participation next year!

There is still time to give

For those who could not attend, we missed you! For anyone who would like to make a gift, there is still time to support this important work.
