The Blotter | Burglary at house under construction

A residential burglary was reported on Estates Drive. The crime apparently took place between 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 2.

The residence is currently under construction, according to Piedmont Police Department Captain Chris Monahan.

He said the suspect or suspects entered through french doors in the rear of the building and exited through the front door. There is no information on the suspect or suspects. Approximately $2,100 worth of tools were reported stolen.


On Nov. 30, a 2016 Honda Accord was reported stolen on Hillside Avenue. The victim reported walking out and finding their vehicle gone and that they had last seen the vehicle the day before. The report came in at 1:56 p.m.
