Reach the heights at Camp Augusta’s new pole course

CampAugusta.org

In 2024, Camp Augusta unveiled an exciting addition that’s taking adventure to the next level — literally! Thanks to the generosity of many donors, we’ve built a 13-pole, 3-level high ropes challenge course that soars up to 85 feet in the air (imagine an open-air agility course 3-6 stories high). With 40 unique challenge elements ranging from tricky to downright extreme, this course offers something for every age and level of thrill.

What can you expect?
A pole course is a purpose-built challenge course that blends team-building, agility challenges, and high-flying adventure, all set high among the trees.

Adventurers can test their courage and agility on features like the Barrel Run, Catwalk, Cannon Balls, Hoop Zip, Gladiator Rings, Nunchuck Zip, and the custom-designed Camp Augusta Traverse. Whether you’re just getting started or ready to push your limits, you can choose your own path and gradually level up as your confidence grows. Or, join a group or friends to try to tackle these aerial challenges collaboratively.

It’s your adventure, your way
With multiple routes to explore — up, down, sideways, and backward — you’ll never take the same journey twice. Facilitators are stationed throughout the course, ready to offer guidance and encouragement as participants navigate this “choose your own adventure” experience. Need a break? Rest and cheer on your friends from one of the many platforms along the way.

Bonus surprises await
In true Camp Augusta fashion, this course offers more than meets the eye. Be prepared for puzzles that stretch your brain as well as your body, and hidden secrets tucked away for you to discover as you go.

Whether you’re a camper ready to take on a new challenge or a family seeking adventure during family camp, the new pole course at Camp Augusta promises unforgettable experiences, personal growth, and memories that will last a lifetime.
