Commentary | Piedmont Beautification Foundation thanks the community for Holiday Greeting Fund donations

As the Lighting Ceremony in Piedmont Park approaches each year, Piedmont residents are invited to send holiday greetings to their neighbors through donations to the Piedmont Beautification Foundation’s (PBF) Holiday Greeting Fund. This year, in addition to PBF’s regular funding initiatives, donors had the opportunity to support the reforestation of Dracena Park.

PBF is delighted to report that the community responded with great generosity. Nearly $35,000 was raised in total, including $17,700 specifically designated for the reforestation project. Since July 1, PBF has also received more than $23,000 in donations for tributary trees and benches, given in honor of and in memory of Piedmont citizens.

PBF extends its heartfelt thanks to all who contributed and is pleased to recognize the donors who supported the Holiday Greeting Fund, as well as those who made gifts since July 1. Special appreciation is also extended to the underwriters (see at bottom) who financed the city-wide mailing, which invited everyone to participate in the newly expanded Piedmont Lights Up event.
