On Tuesday the National Weather Service upgraded its Fire Weather Watch to a Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather conditions starting Thursday night through Saturday for most of the Bay Area.
In a social media post, NWS said daytime relative humidity would be as low as 10% and strong offshore winds 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected. Gusts to 65 mph are possible in the highest terrain.
On Tuesday night, PG&E posted warnings that it could cut power in Alameda County and multiple other Bay Area counties starting Thursday due to the weather conditions. (Read the public safety power shutoff notices HERE.)
