All registered voters were sent a vote-by-mail ballot in early October. If you are registered but did not receive a ballot by mail, contact the Alameda County Registrar of Voters at (510) 272-6933.

Turn in your ballot at a secure drop box or ballot drop stop event
The Registrar of Voters is encouraging voters to submit their ballots directly rather than mail them through the post office. You can turn in your ballot at any:
• Secure ballot drop box: There is an official ballot drop box located near the mailboxes at Highland Way and Mountain Avenue in Piedmont, and 65 other locations across Alameda County. Drop boxes are available 24 hours a day, and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office picks up ballots from the drop boxes and returns them to the Registrar of Voters daily. The last pickup will be at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

• Ballot Drop Stop event: The Registrar of Voters is hosting a series of pop-up events where you can submit your ballot directly. There will be a Ballot Drop Stop in front of Piedmont City Hall on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Vote Center: Bring your ballot to any vote center in Alameda County.
If you choose to mail your ballot through the post office, it must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by Nov. 10.
Conditional (“Same Day”) Voter Registration
If you missed the deadline to register for this election you can still vote provisionally by registering and voting at any vote center.
Your ballot will be processed and counted after the Registrar of Voters has verified your information. This process takes time, so your ballot may not be included in the results reported on election night.
