The Piedmont Education Foundation’s Community Engagement Committee invites the community to a Happy Hour and opening night of the PHS fall play, Peter Pan and Wendy, on Thursday, November 12.
The Happy Hour will be from 5:00-6:30 at the Piedmont Center for the Arts. Community members are invited to come to enjoy beverages, light bites and lively conversation. Some site principals, teachers, as well as school and community leaders will be present, but there will not be a formal program – this is meant as an informal gathering – an opportunity to mingle and connect. RSVP for the reception, as space is limited.
Following the reception, all are welcome to walk across the street to watch opening night of the PHS fall play, Peter Pan and Wendy, which begins at 7:00 p.m. in the new Alan Harvey Theater. Tickets for the play should be purchased in advance HERE — tickets may also be available at the door. The play is also being performed on Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14.
Former School Board member Sarah Pearson says, “Just as the community is a resource for the schools, we believe that our excellent Piedmont schools and facilities are a resource for the community.” Thus, PEF’s Community Engagement Committee organizes events such as this for community members who don’t have children in the schools to participate in PUSD activities.
