Letter to the Editors | Endorsing Adam Hundt for City Council

I am writing to endorse Adam Hundt for Piedmont City Council in this election. I grew up in Piedmont in the 1990’s and watched my father, a civil engineer and lawyer, participate in City Council meetings given his expertise. He wanted to help the community succeed, and appreciated that in this small-town environment there was an opportunity for him to engage directly with city government.

I see in Adam qualities I respected in my father. Like my dad, Adam is eager to utilize his knowledge and expertise to address issues facing our city government. Given Piedmont’s numerous government functions — from city works to housing to parks and recreation — there is a need for someone with Adam’s curiosity and tenacity.

Adam understands how to create public policies that are understandable, fair, and crafted to achieve specific strategic outcomes. He is honest, down to earth, and humble. When examining issues, he seeks out different opinions and perspectives.

He may be new to Piedmont city government, but the city would benefit from having his perspective and problem-solving abilities on Council. I am excitedly supporting Adam for City Council and encourage other residents to do the same.
