Highlanders get 10-9 win
Henry Stein scored five goals to help lead Piedmont High School’s boys water polo team to a 10-9 win at Piedmont Pool on October 6.
The Highlanders are now 7-8 on the season entering the Monterey Tournament the weekend of October 9-10.
Rylan Patty had three goals for Piedmont while Walker Wilson had two.
Alex Winn scored three goals for the Trojans (8-8). Mikey Driver had two while Stanton Anderson, Jack Fry, Lucas Ko and Marcos Parra had single goals for Castro Valley.
Piedmont jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Trojans rallied to tie the score, 5-5. It was tied again at 6-6 before Stein scored consecutive goals and Patty added one for a 9-6 lead.
