The City of Piedmont is excited to bring back a beloved part of the Piedmont Harvest Festival — apple cider making! On Sunday, Sept. 27, bring your apples to the festival and press your own fresh cider right on the spot.
Whether they’re picked from your backyard tree, purchased at the store, or gathered as bruised fruit from your local grocer, all apples are welcome.
This hands-on experience is made possible thanks to Piedmont resident Richard Sykes, who is generously donating the use of a handcrafted apple press he built himself. Come celebrate the harvest season in a truly local and delicious way.
If you bring a bounty of apples and would like to take some home to enjoy later, make sure to bring a sealable container on Sunday.
The annual Harvest Festival takes place in Piedmont Park from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026. The free community event features an edibles contest, jazz festival, art show, Scarecrow Alley, farmer’s market, and food trucks.
