A pool update from an Aug. 25, 2026 City of Piedmont news release. Link to the city’s survey is HERE:
Help us improve your visits to the Piedmont Community Pool by completing a brief survey about your experience during the pool’s first four months.
After years of planning, the first year of operations gives us an opportunity to test our assumptions, learn how people actually use the pool, and make adjustments. Your feedback will help us identify what changes will have the most impact for pool users.
The survey asks about your experience using the pool so far — what’s working well, and where could things be better across several areas:
- Planning your visit: schedules, registration, check-in
- Hours of operation and programming
- Facility comfort
- Reserved open swim at the activity pool
The survey also asks users to identify the one change that would most improve their experience.
The survey is available at piedmont.ca.gov/PoolSurvey and will be open for response through September 30.
What comes next
We’ll review survey responses alongside attendance and use data as we continue adjusting pool operations and programming. Not every idea will be possible to implement, but your feedback will help us understand where changes could have the greatest impact for pool users.
I have enjoyed swimming in the pool. However, I think there is room for improvement in the Men’s locker room. We need more benches; for example a long bench across from the showers would be helpful. The longer bench near the swim rinse machine is not used because there is a draft from air circulation which makes it uncomfortable to dress after a shower. If the direction of the air could be changed this additional bench would be used. The floors when wet are slippery. I wear clogs so it has not been a problem, but if someone is not wearing shoes or clogs, they may slip, This could be avoided with some floor mats. Finally, some hooks could be installed on the walls so that backpacks could be hung on the hooks rather than thrown on the benches which takes up considerable space.
