Pay $25 for race participants 12 years and under; $45 for 13 years and over. Register HERE
The Turkey Trot organizers will also be back with the free, Third Annual Tiny Tot Trot on Wednesday, Oct. 25, for 3 to 6 year olds at Witter Field. More details to come.
Have an address along the race course? Add some race-worthy cheer to your front yard! Our judges will be driving through on Tuesday, Nov. 24 to award the coveted Silver Turkey Awards and distribute assorted race swag to participants.
Running for a cause
The Piedmont Turkey Trot is a 100% nonprofit organization dedicated to giving back to our neighborhood. Net proceeds from the event directly benefit the Piedmont High School Cross Country and Track & Field Teams. Because of your participation, we also provide annual donations and support to:
- Piedmont Middle School XC and Track & Field Teams
- Piedmont Junior Running Club
- Run Better Oakland
- Piedmont Service Crew
Community Impact
Since 2017, the Piedmont Turkey Trot has successfully donated $205,000 to the local community, including $135,000 towards The Hampton Field rebuild. In addition, we have contributed $20,000 to the Piedmont Education Foundation and, most recently, $60,000 towards the PHS Athletic Boosters.
When you cross the finish line this year, you won’t just earn serious bragging rights at your Thanksgiving dinner table, you’ll be actively investing in the future of local student-athletes and community spaces.
Even our bib pick-up day has turned into a community giving event, with donations being accepted last year for a local children’s literacy project, Dress Best For Less and a food drive for a neighboring public school in Oakland.
