Back-to-school isn’t just for kids!
Registration for the Fall 2026 session of Piedmont Adult School opens Monday, August 17 at 9:00am. Classes begin Monday, September 14 and run through Saturday, December 19.
Piedmont Adult School offers a wide variety of Community Classes for adults looking to learn something new, develop a skill, explore an interest, or simply connect with others in a friendly, low-stress environment.
More than 15 new classes are being offered this fall, including:
- The Art of the Book: Papermaking & Bookbinding — Get hands-on experience with the ancient art of papermaking and traditional bookbinding techniques.
- Budo Zen — Discover Iaido, a classical Japanese sword art, combined with Buddhist spiritual practice to promote inner development.
- Portraits in Colored Pencil — Create realistic portraits that capture both a person’s likeness and personality.
- Screenwriting 1A and 1B — Take your great movie idea and turn it into a screenplay!
- Philosophy as a Way of Living — Discover how philosophical traditions can help clarify our values and create meaning in our lives.
- Resume Reboot: A Live Resume Feedback Lab — Get real-time feedback and practical tips to make your resume stand out.
