This fall Piedmont Middle School will present the musical “Frozen JR.” based on the 2018 Broadway musical. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.
Performances are Friday October 23, 7:00pm, Saturday, October 24, 2:00pm & 7:00pm, and Sunday, October 25, 2:00pm.
Rehearsals are three times a week as follows: Tuesdays and Thursday evenings (6:30-8:30pm) as well as Wednesdays (*3:00-5:00pm). *Wednesday’s time is subject to adjustment. Auditions are online submissions via google form and are due Monday, August 24. Callbacks are in-person on Thursday, August 27.
All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students enrolled in PMS are invited to audition. Information about auditions will be made available to all PMS students as soon as the school year begins. For more information contact director Amy Moorhead at amoorhead@piedmont.k12.ca.us.
For Piedmont High School and Millennium High School students, Moorhead will direct and produce the musical “The Music Man”. With book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson, based on a story by Willson and Franklin Lacey, this musical comedy is about American culture, economics and the power of music to transform a small town. Performances are February 4-7, 2027.
Auditions are open to all students enrolled in Piedmont High School or Millennium High School. Online audition submissions are due the week of Sept. 22 with callbacks later that same week. Full information about auditions will be made available to all PHS/MHS students in mid-late August.
