We, the teacher librarians of PUSD, are reaching out for community support regarding the recent elimination of funding for COMPASS, a resource that provides California students and educators with equitable access to vetted online research and curriculum resources – including encyclopedias, databases, journals, and educational content.
Simply put, we cannot imagine doing our work of teaching media literacy and research skills without this program. The COMPASS program has provided our K-12 students with high-quality research and media resources for almost a decade. We need lots of voices to speak out in favor of restoring this important funding!
Click here to send Governor Newsom an email voicing your support!
Thank you.
