Family: Jenny, Jesse, Garrett, and Everett Nelson
Name: Ginger
Age: 12
Breed: Goldendoodle
Adoption Story: Ginger is our Georgia girl. She came from a breeder an hour outside of Atlanta. She was our first child; soon after our wedding, we flew to Atlanta to pick her up. The transaction went down in a Cracker Barrel parking lot off I-85.

Likes: Ginger LOVES playing ball. Her first dog-walker in San Francisco once sent us a lengthy email about his concerns over her becoming a ball-aholic, which he felt needed to be curbed. She also loves sticks — she always finds one on a walk and will carry it all the way home, if allowed. She is an expert at finding all the coziest ways to sleep on our furniture. Finally, she is really into cuddles — she loves to hug and give kisses.
Dislikes: She is the pickiest eater you could ever imagine. She will go on hunger strikes for days if she decides she no longer wants to eat the same kibble. We often make our own food for her, though if we add veggies, she will meticulously pick them all out and refuse to eat them.
Interesting facts: Despite her appearance, she only weighs about 30 lbs. She has long, skinny legs and a lot of fluff, which makes her look like a much bigger dog. Even so, she takes up as much space as an adult human sleeping on our bed each night!
