East Bay Innovations celebrates Disability Pride Month with summer crafts fair fundraiser on July 18

East Bay Innovations is inviting the community to celebrate Disability Pride Month with a Crafts Fair Celebration, a family-friendly fundraiser highlighting the creativity and talent of local artists with disabilities. The event takes place on Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ed Roberts Campus, 3075 Adeline Street in Berkeley. The location is BART accessible, and a free parking lot is available behind the building on weekends.

Attendees can browse a wide variety of handcrafted goods from local vendor artists, including jewelry, textiles, succulents in hand-painted pots, sewn stuffed animals, keychains, custom t-shirts, glasswork, pottery, paintings, drawings, posters, and stickers. Each vendor table will also feature a short bio and photo of the artist, offering visitors a chance to learn about the people and stories behind the artwork.

The event is sponsored by Alameda Alliance, Kaiser Permanente Greater Southern Alameda Area, Heffernan Insurance Brokers, Simply Home, Beard Realty Team at Keller Williams Realty, Safe in Home, and St. Mary’s Center.

In addition to shopping, guests can enjoy refreshments including drinks and pizza, available for a suggested donation. Admission is just $7, with all proceeds supporting East Bay Innovations’ mission of empowering people with disabilities to live full, independent lives within their communities.

“This event is about more than just crafts; it’s about celebrating pride, creativity, and connection,” organizers said. “We want the community to see the incredible talent within the disability community and support artists directly.”
