Five alumni from the Piedmont High School Class of 2022 graduated together from the University of Oregon on Monday, June 15 in a festive celebration at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.
Four of the five graduates, Nathan Sturdivant, Quincy Munyan, Zak Gilbert and Kurt Wilson, met in sixth grade at Piedmont Middle School. Harry Leader joined them in eighth grade.
After graduating from PHS, the boys all chose to attend the University of Oregon, and remained close friends during their four years in Eugene.
“Even though we all had busy lives and studies, there was always a special bond between us Piedmont kids on campus. I know we’ll remain friends for life,” said Gilbert.
