Artist Julie Engelmann completed a new mural in late April for Oakland’s Ice Center featuring Asian American Olympic figure skaters Alysa Liu and Kristi Yamaguchi. Both skaters trained there at different times in their careers.
Since her Olympics star turn, Liu has been basking in the spotlight, most recently attending The Met Gala in New York City on Monday.
