Piedmont pushes Alameda in finale

Piedmont High School’s boys volleyball team came achingly close to winning its first West Alameda County Conference match in two years in its finale at Alameda on April 28, but fell in five sets, 14-25, 25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 15-12.

The Highlanders finished the season 6-18, 0-10 in WACC Foothill division play. However, it was a huge improvement on 2025, when Piedmont finished 1-23 on the season.

On April 28, the Highlanders lost their final home match of the year to San Leandro, 25-16, 25-23, 25-19.
