Vehicle apparently taken overnight

A vehicle was taken from a residence on St. James Drive overnight. The crime was reported on March 20.

A blue 2023 four-door Honda Accord was reportedly taken on the night of March 19 or morning of March 20. There was no information beyond that, according to Piedmont Police Capt. Chris Monahan.


On March 17, a motorcycle that had been reported stolen was recovered. According to the police log, the motorcycle was found with a damaged ignition and a missing license plate.


On March 15, an unknown suspect attempted to steal the catalytic converter from a 2008 Lexus RX400 on Winsor Avenue. Monahan said the incident happened at approximately 8:13 p.m.

Suspects were confronted by the victim, according to Monahan, and left the scene in a white truck. There is no further information on the suspects, but Monahan said there is a possible lead on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma.

The reported damage is approximately $1,000.
