The new facility is still actively hiring for spring and summer positions — with the greatest need for lifeguards and swim instructors.

Saturday kicked off a pre-opening on-site training session for new pool staff. This included continued system training for core Aquatics team and operations training for front-life staff like lifeguards, swim instructors, aquatics assistants, office attendants, and more. Front line staff training covers customer service, day-to-day operational procedures, and water safety protocols, with the largest concentration of training time spent on emergency response, water rescue, and similar life safety topics. With an entirely new team coming together to open a brand new facility, this training period is essential to ensuring the facility is fully prepared to operate at the highest standards of safety from day one.

The city is still actively hiring for spring and summer. There may even still be opportunities to be part of the founding team for folks who get their applications in ASAP! Greatest need is for lifeguards and swim instructors – info about these and other open positions can be found at piedmont.ca.gov/PoolJobs.

New staff shares why they’re excited to work at the pool.
