As the Lighting Ceremony in Piedmont Park approaches each year, Piedmont residents are invited to send holiday greetings to friends and neighbors through donations to the Piedmont Beautification Foundation (PBF). This year, in addition to PBF’s ongoing funding initiatives,
donors also had the opportunity to support the replacement of swings in the Main Park.
PBF is delighted to report that the community responded with remarkable generosity. Contributions will be directed in accordance with donors’ wishes, supporting not only the replacement swings, but also the Dearing Family Memorial Project, and the Reforest Piedmont, Neighborhood-by-Neighborhood effort.
PBF extends its heartfelt thanks to all who contributed and is pleased to recognize donors whose gifts were made since July 1, 2025. More than $200,000 has been received, which includes a generous bequest from long time community volunteer Carl Anderson. Special appreciation is also extended to the underwriters who financed the citywide mailing that invited the entire community to participate in the annual Piedmont Lights Up! event.
