Adoption Story: After trying to get a dog at SFSPCA and having no luck, we submitted an application for a “career change” dog to Guide Dogs for the Blind. Amazingly, we got an interview a few weeks after submitting the application. A month later, after the interview, we heard there was a dog that might be a good match. We drove out to San Rafael, agreeing not to make an immediate decision. We got to the parking lot and saw a dog handler walking a yellow lab – Amal said “I bet that’s our girl”. And we left an hour later with Jada. We’ve had her now for five years and feel very lucky to have her.
Interesting facts: She is an absolute sweetheart! She loves everybody, including cats. She also became part of our family on day one when she was two years old — there were no integration issues.
Likes: Jada loves all food and human affection! She likes to sunbathe. Her favorite treats include carrots and apple slices, although she’d probably enjoy just about anything. She also loves going on walks and munching on grass.
Dislikes: Jada does not enjoy getting her nails clipped!
