The Blotter | Home possibly burgled on Alta Avenue

A residence on Alta Avenue was possibly burgled between 8 a.m. on Dec. 9 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 10. A report came in that an unknown suspect may have entered the residence and taken an unknown amouont of jewelry from an upstairs bedroom. The victim was unsure of the loss at this time, according to Piedmont Police Captain Chris Monahan. He said video cameras at the residence did not provide any suspect information and that there were no signs of forced entry.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 9, a catalytic converter was reportedly stolen from a 2006 Toyota Prius parked in a driveway on Pala Avenue. A suspect vehicle is a late model gray Audi SUV with no license plates, according to Captain Monahan.
