Help the City of Piedmont better understand how community members use local parks and what they value most by completing a brief online survey or talking to staff at an upcoming park pop-up event.
Responses will inform the City’s Sustainable Park Management Plan – an initiative focused on long-term stewardship and preservation of Piedmont’s existing parks and open spaces.
Ultimately, this initiative will create a roadmap for how Piedmont can best sustainably manage its parks so they remain vibrant, well-cared-for community assets for years to come.
Two ways to give input: online survey and park pop-ups
The survey asks community members to share:
• how they use Piedmont’s parks
• what they value most about these spaces
• what aspects they want to ensure are preserved for the future.
Community members can also speak directly with the project team at a series of pop-up engagement events in parks the week of December 8:
• Linda Park: Monday, December 8, 4-5pm
West side of Linda, in the lawn area
• Crocker Park: Wednesday, December 10, 4-5pm
At the bottle filling station
• Piedmont Park: Friday, December 12, 3-5pm
Behind the Exedra foundation
• Dracena Park: Saturday, December 13, 10am-12pm
Tables in the upper and lower park
Community input will help identify what residents value most, how people use the parks, and what should be prioritized as the City develops long-term management guidelines.
About the Sustainable Park Management Plan
This project focuses on stewardship – how the City cares for the parks we have. It is not a Parks Master Plan and is not about designing new facilities or adding new park uses.
Instead, it will help the City align maintenance practices with best practices in sustainability, understand what qualities residents value most, and ensure those qualities are preserved over time.
