Oct. 10 incident happened late on Highland Ave.
A driver was pulled over and arrested for suspicion of DUI on October 10 after not completely stopping at a red light, according to the Piedmont Police Department. The incident happened at 10:45 p.m. when Piedmont Police observed the vehicle traveling south on Highland Avenue approaching a stoplight at Oakland Avenue, according to Piedmont Police Captain Chris Monahan.
Police pulled the white 1992 Lexus 400 over and the driver was arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. The driver requested a blood draw, according to the police log. The vehicle was left legally parked at the scene.
A gray 2013 Acura RDX was reported stolen on October 14 at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Olive Avenue. The vehicle was found about two hours later and returned to the victim.
On October 15, two unknown male suspects reportedly entered a residence on Sunnyside Avenue around 4:52 a.m., according to Captain Monahan. He said they entered through a unlocked front window and disabled the WiFi router in the kitchen. They eventually fled the scene through a side door in the basement and apparently did not take anything, according to Captain Monahan. One suspect was reported to be on an electric scooter and the other on a bicycle.
Sometime between October 8-12, a vehicle was burglarized on Boulevard Way. The unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger side window on a 2008 Mazda 3 and took a DMV registration card, according to Captain Monahan. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500.
A stolen vehicle was recovered on October 12 on Harrison Street. Police found a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado parked at 10:36 a.m. A records checked showed it had been reported stolen out of Oakland.
On October 13, police found a white 2022 Honda Accord parked near MacArthur Boulevard and Webster Street at 6:44 a.m. A records check showed it had been reported stolen out of Berkeley.
On October 12, a woman was reported to be refusing to put her dogs on a leash at Hampton Road and Crocker Avenue at Bear Park. The woman was cited.
