Girls compete at the Mariner Invitational on Oct. 18, 2025

The Piedmont High School cross country teams had another successful meet on October 18, placing in the Championship divisions of their respective races.

The girls finished ninth with 218 points. Skylar Best led the way on the 5,000-meter course at Quarry Lakes Recreation Area, taking 11th in 20 minutes, 18.7 seconds. Cora Chun was 38th in 21:54.0, with Mara Kemp-Malone 45th in 22:10.8. Quincy Antaya (83rd, 24:48.0) and Gladwin Horsley (84th, 25:00.3) finished up the scoring for the Highlanders.

Lick-Wilmerding-San Francisco’s Ella Mogannam won the race in 17:07.0. Clayton Valley (64) edged Lick-Wilmerding (68) for the team title.

The Piedmont boys finished 11th with 239 points. Ian Chung came home 31st in 17:27.0 on the same course. Dylan Wallway was 41st in 17:37.3. Aaron Bennett was 46th in 17:41.3. Devon Thai was 62nd in 18:02.8 and Dresden Schute-Sasse was 92nd in 19:48.3.

College Park won the team championship with 81 points and also produced the individual winner in Grason Langford (15:59.1).
