The event is free to attend. For more information about the month long, city-wide event including an online guide please visit artspan.org.
Irene Nelson “Show Don’t Tell” Irene Nelson “After All”
Irene Nelson’s abstract paintings evolve as acts of discovery rather than having a planned destination. She creates impressions constructed from the thin line between memory and imagination, guided by a mix of intuition and tenacious experimentation. Her work has been shown at the deYoung Museum, the SF Contemporary Jewish Museum, Crocker Art Museum and numerous galleries. She is in public and private collections nationally and internationally. Paintings, drawings, and ceramic work will be available. Nelson’s work can be seen at www.irenenelson.com
Chris Harvey “Irene” Chris Harvey “Riding the BART”
Chris Harvey’s figurative oil paintings are informed by the Bay Area figurative movement, with everyday scenes portrayed in poignant color and light. He has shown at the deYoung as well as numerous galleries. chrisharveypainter.com

Larraine Seiden is primarily a painter who uses the language of textiles, which has traditionally marked the challenge of creating time and space in women’s lives. By reimagining materials through abstraction, she seeks beauty in transforming the overlooked, the forgotten, and the repetition of the everyday. She teaches art at Wildwood Elementary; co-founded The Piedmont Art Walk; and is a founding board member of Piedmont Makers. She exhibits nationally and her art work is in corporate collections including at Cushman/Wakefield in Minneapolis, Sutter Health’s Van Ness Hospital in San Francisco, and North Berkeley Wealth Management. larraineseiden.com
